ABOUT:

Metaphortune is a musical artist (et al) based in Pittsburgh, PA. Originally from the corn outside of Columbus, OH, they moved to the big city (aka Columbus, OH) and started makin' music. Their debut EP Calcite & Sandstone was released in 2016, followed by the single Windswept in 2017, the EP The Bell Fountain in 2019, and the album Perennial Fae in 2020. Then, returning to school meant things went dormant for a year or two. Then, health issues (and moving) meant things went dormant for a year or three.

Eventually, life led them to the city of Pittsburgh, PA. After settling in, they began the process of making music (among other forms of art) again. 2026 will likely bring two!!! releases! The first will be a reimagination of the self-titled album by the artist New Found Land, which Ken is incredibly excited for. The second will be original music.

Ken, the person who is Metaphortune, also made a lot of rap music, mostly in the early 2010s. That led to performances at illustrious institutions such as the 2012 South Vienna Corn Festival and the 2013 South Vienna Corn Festival. Ken also has a comedy/variety podcast called Metaphoriety, and a podcast dedicated to a soccer team that approximately 20 people care about (the team, not the podcast), 2 Crew 2 4 U 2, Too.

Ken is also semi-active in the improv and stand-up scenes in Pittsburgh, PA. It rules.
